Paleo Diet: What Can You Eat

642x361-processed_foods_to_avoidHow do you plan your daily meal plan? Picking the foods to eat is an essential part of your diet. If you look back, you will realize that it is this step that has made you gain so much weight. Because some people choose to eat what they want to eat, instead of what their body needs, they end up gaining so much weight their body could not make good use of. Are you guilty of eating what you want instead of what you need to survive?
Don’t feel all too guilty about it. After all, you still got a chance with the paleo diet. Don’t be surprised when you read about the basic principle behind the Paleo, because it is nothing like the other diet plans you’ve tried. You might be used to being told what NOT to eat and that list is indeed long. It even includes almost everything you want to eat. That’s the very reason why most diet programs can be very frustrating, but not the Paleo.
When you have a clear understanding of what the Paleo Diet is all about, you will realize that it only has a list of the foods that you should be eating. From there, you can make varying combinations and eat to your heart’s content. You can eat as much of the foods in the exclusive Paleo list until you feel full. That’s right! This is the only diet program that will allow you to eat and eat while your body learns to adjust and naturally sheds off the pounds.
The secret to the paleo diet is keeping things very simple. Your diet doesn’t have to include the complicated wonders of doughnuts or soft drinks or maybe even slices of cake. All these do harm to your dental health and your overall health in general. The complications brought about these dishes have confused you, thinking that eating them would make you full. The truth is that they only make you feel full, but they are not able to feed your body with the food that it needs to survive. So instead of absorbing nutrients, your body ends up absorbing trans fat and carbohydrates that it barely needs.
So before you brush the idea of the Paleo Diet aside, here is a list of the foods that you can eat until your heart is full:
Fish and Meat
Cavemen who survived for years are known to be meat eaters. To be able to replicate the diet that they had, you have to include fish and meat. However, instead of the usual marinade that you have, you can go for fish and meat that are organically grown.
Vegetables and Fruits
The Paleolithic man survived because of hunting and gathering their food. And if meat and fish are not available, they go back to their other staple food the vegetables and the fruits. The greens and the colorful veggies and fruits add naturally good colors in their diet.
The list of the paleo foods goes on and on. You won’t regret giving it a try.
